Ingredients

  • 1 Acqua & Farina pizza dough
  • 1 potato, peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 200g Maltese sausage without the skin
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 sweet red pepper (capsicum), thinly sliced
  • 3 eggs, scrambled
  • 200g Hello-V 100% vegan mozzarella flavour
  • Chilli flakes
  • 1 egg beaten with 2 tbsp water (egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large frying pan over moderate heat and add the sausage, onion, and potato.
  2. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon and at the same time crumble the sausage; about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the sweet red pepper and continue to stir for about 3 more minutes.
  4. Add the eggs and continue to mix until combined, then remove the pan from the heat.
  5. Add the cheddar or mozzarella cheese and freshly ground pepper, and mix.
  6. Roll out the pizza dough and cut out circles of about 12 cm.
  7. Spread the filling mixture in the middle of each circle and brush the circle with the egg and water mixture.
  8. Fold half of the dough circle over the other half to form a half circle and enclose the filling inside.
  9. Pinch the edges with a fork to seal and place them on the prepared tray.
  10. Brush the tops with the egg and water mixture.
  11. Bake for about 20 minutes or until you see that the pizzas have taken on a golden color.
